Investment Objective

A Fund seeking to match the performance of the Standard & Poor's 500 Composite Stock Price Index ("S&P 500 Index" or "Index") as closely as possible before the deduction of Fund expenses.

Key Points

  • A “passive” or “indexing” investment approach is used to attempt to replicate, before expenses, the performance of the S&P 500 Index.

  • The process the Fund uses, known as Full Replication, creates a portfolio that includes all securities in the Index in proportion to their weight in the Index.

  • The Fund also uses S&P 500 Index futures to create index-like returns for small amounts of cash in the portfolio.

Total Fund Assets

$1.1 Billion

Investment Sub-Advisor (%)

The Fund invests all of its investable assets in the State Street Equity 500 Index Portfolio, which is managed by SSgA Funds Management, Inc., a subsidiary of State Street Corp. and an affiliate of State Street Bank and Trust Company.

The Fund invests in derivatives, which may involve certain costs and risks such as liquidity, interest rate, market, credit, management and the risk that a position could not be closed when more advantageous. Investing in derivatives could result in losing more than the amount invested. Please see the prospectus for a complete discussion of the Fund’s risks.
